Depending on configuration, the Dart works great for tackling ice in Hyalite, dry-tooling a gnarly mixed route, kicking up a steep couloir, or walking across a glacier—the modular design allows for an easy transition to the points that suit the mission. I swap them out for ice climbing season then back for general mountaineering. Use Case: Multi-pitch rappel efficiency, hanging belay exchanges, TR setting after rappel from cliff above.
